The Gaulhofer family has been revolutionizing the window and door industry since 1919, when Karl Gaulhofer opened a construction and furniture joinery business in Austria. Karl Jr. took over the helm in 1954, and deftly blended the company’s deep roots in fine craftsmanship with cutting-edge production capabilities. In the years since, Gaulhofer has become Europe’s leading manufacturer of beautiful and technically superior window and door products, and has gained international recognition for their attention to quality and sustainability. Gaulhofer products are now enjoyed around the world. In 2008, Dr. Manfred Gaulhofer was named president of the company.
Gaulhofer in North America
Gaulhofer in North America is brought to you by LuxusHaus Imports Ltd, (formerly T&T windows) and was founded in 2002 by father and son, Klaus Grosse, a civil engineer, and Bernie, a journeyman joiner and site superintendent. After searching worldwide for premium grade wood Tilt & Turn windows for high-end homes being built in Whister, BC, Canada, Bernie and Klaus ended up in Austria at Gaulhofer headquarters. Knowing that they’d found the best manufactured European window and door products available anywhere, they obtained exclusive distribution rights for Gaulhofer products in North America. The company has become the leading North American supplier of high end custom windows and doors to discerning homeowners, architects, designers and builders. Today the company is under the leadership of Bernie Grosse and Eva Hamstra, with support from Nina Grosse and other key team members.
