These custom patio doors and French doors have been designed and engineered to meet the harshest North American climatic conditions in both summer and winter. They feature the smoothest and simplest operating hardware with multiple adjustments and security features found anywhere. And because of their versatility, they can be used as entry doors, exterior doors and interior doors.
The Tilt and Turn French Door
The Tilt & Turn French Door operates much like our Tilt & Turn windows, providing the same level of security, ventilation and functionality. For ease of operation, there is one handle on the first opening sash that controls the tilting and turning operation. This French door can be used for gentle ventilation while maintaining security. In the turn position, it can be used as a single French door or in combination with the second door as a double French door.

Folding Patio Doors
These are the most advanced European folding patio doors available on the market today. Designed for extreme climates, a single 6 panel patio door can be used in openings up to 16’6”. Gaulhofer North American has supplied custom combined units that can open to 33 feet including some that meet at wall corners with disappearing corner posts, leaving gigantic openings for unobstructed views. Using just a single handle, they are the smoothest and simplest folding patio doors to operate.
Combined units can also include a single tilt and turn door at one end of the folding section or double French doors where two units meet.

Tilt and Slide Patio Door
This unique tilt and slide patio door is another feat of Gaulhofer architectural innovation. When closed, the sliding patio doors are in one plane and tightly sealed with a triple weather strip system. The sliding panel has the Gaulhofer tilt function for ventilation and security that can open as wide as 8 feet (4 panel unit). The single handle tilt and slide operation is both simple and smooth. These tilt and slide patio doors provide the largest unobstructed view possible and can come in two or four panel options.
