- How we make sure that you wake up refreshed and rejuvenated. Did you know that you spend one-third of your life asleep? Then you will also understand how important a constant supply of fresh air is, in your bedroom. Gaulhofer’s exclusive air exchange position was developed, based on the newest scientific research data. A leading research institute defined the minimum air exchange rate for a room of 20 square meters to be no less than 40 cubic meters per hour. The special tilting position, that removes the sash only 10 mm from the frame, guarantees this air exchange in situations where controlled ventilation through manual tilting or turning is not desired, e.g. when you sleep. In this sense: Have a good night- relax, refresh and rejuvenate.
- How we provide you with peace and quiet. A world novelty - only Gaulhofer has the audio stop sealing system for wooden or wood clad windows and doors: in addition to the middle weather strip and the interior weather strip, a third seal running around the entire outside frame allows for extreme sound protection. A value of 34 dB noise reduction can be achieved with our standard glazing. The third weather strip helps seal our windows and doors even in extreme wind situations and at the same time makes a silent closure of the window or door possible.
- How we ensure that the glass is well placed. The ventilated glass rebate in combination with the thermo stop - glass spacer is a highly functioning protection against condensation. The careful manual sealing of the glass profile against the wooden frame also prevents leakage of indoor air into the glass rebate. This provides the glass with a long life and best protects the coating in the rebate area.
- How we prevent thermo-bridging on our frame strip cladding. The middle seal has no contact with the frame strip cladding. It only has contact with the wood. The warm moist interior air does not reach the aluminum and therefore condensation does not occur. The silver gray coloring of the tracks and the light gray seal match the hinges perfectly. This carefully selected color combination provides the Gaulhofer window with an exceptional contemporary elegance.
- How we prevent thermo-bridging on our frame strip cladding. The middle seal has no contact with the frame strip cladding. It only has contact with the wood. The warm moist interior air does not reach the aluminum and therefore condensation does not occur. The heat stays in the room and the window is protected from moisture through the minimal heat conduction of the natural construction material wood. The silver gray coloring of the tracks and the light gray seal match the hinges perfectly. This carefully selected color combination provides the Gaulhofer window with an exceptional contemporary elegance.

Spruce: The wood most commonly used for high quality European construction, Thanks to its tightness of grain and its form stability. We take advantage of these qualities. Carefully selected and correctly kiln-dried, Gaulhofer has processed for decades spruces wood for production of their windows. Larch: Life made it hard. The high alpine larch is accustomed to extreme weather conditions. It withstands summery heat as well as severe winter frosts, endures dryness just as well as wetness. That makes larch wood a preferred building material appropriate for construction elements that are exposed to extremely high usage, such as the foundation of Venice or thousands of trusses of historic buildings. Gaulhofer has rediscovered this naturally beautiful wood as the ideal construction material for the window manufacture.
